NLS JO coaches are entrusted with developing both exceptional athletes and outstanding individuals. Our coaching philosophy centers on building character, fostering teamwork, and instilling the fundamental values of commitment, sportsmanship, and accountability—skills that extend far beyond volleyball.

NLS JO coaches are valued partners in our athletes' development, combining technical expertise with mentorship to prepare players for success both on the court and in life. Our coaching staff consists of experienced, salaried coaches who bring dedication and expertise to their roles. While they are not professional coaches, their commitment to player development and the sport is unwavering.

Coaching

Explore our coaching requirements to understand the expectations and responsibilities of NLS JO Coaches. We prioritize player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Season Setup & Communication

Attend pre-season meeting, host initial parent meeting, maintain weekly parent communication, maintain monthly communication with coach liasion.

Practice Management

Lead at least one two hour practice weekly with prepared plans. Hold a minimum of 22 hours of planned practice per season. Attend and Lead number of tournaments required.

Skill Development

Instruct rules, techniques, and equipment while organizing individual and team skill development.

Team Management & Tournament Preparation

Evaluate player abilities, determine positions and lineups, and create game strategies for tournaments.

Character & Safety

Maintain team behavior expectations, handle safety protocols, and demonstrate proper conduct at all times.

Team Community & Records

Cultivate team unity through bonding activities while managing administrative requirements and athlete records.
